The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC) is the official organization that supports Spelman College through financial gifts, student recruitment, sisterhood, community service and recognition of Spelman women. The Association provides, encourages, and promotes growth and development of alumnae through leadership opportunities and partnership alliances. NAASC actively seeks to involve all former student and graduates in the fulfillment of its purpose.

Make an online donation to the NAASC Donald & Isabel Stewart Scholarship. NAASC sponsors the Donald & Isabel Stewart Endowed Scholarship Fund which provides annual scholarships to students and is administered by Spelman College. Visit our Give Back section for more details.

NAASC 2018 National Elections
It’s election time for NAASC!! Due to changes in the NAASC Constitution and Bylaws, we are finally able to conduct our first electronic election! This change was highly desired by members who desired a more efficient process, yet, careful consideration was given to those that do not have access to email and internet services. To execute the change, we will need the assistance of every member. Please be sure to follow deadlines and information which cover the Election Slate and Write-Ins, Electronic Voting and Opting Out of Electronic Voting: Ballots will be sent Electronically or US mail (For those that opt-out of electronic voting by February 15,2018) to NAASC members that were financial for the 2017 Fiscal Year (July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2017).

Write-Ins for the election that want to be included on the ballot must be submitted by email to or to NAASC, P.O Box 2981, Durham NC 27715 by February 10, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Your email request must include the following:
  1. Position/Office you are seeking
  2. Full name
  3. Class year
  4. Mailing address and zip code
  5. Email Address
  6. Phone number
  7. 100 word statement
Election ballots will be e-mailed or mailed before but not later than March 10, 2018 they must be return postmarked on or before March 31, 2018. The ballots will also include voting for alumnae awards. Results will be presented in the Teller’s report at the NAASC Annual Meeting to be held on May 20, 2018 Be sure to cast your ballot, your vote COUNTS!!

The Spelmanite Collection by Divinico
Najah Drakes, C’96, and her company Divinico has the "Spelmanite" collection of rhinestone products and tshirts.
