The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College President’s Chapter Handbook and Guide is dedicated to our visionary leaders, Sophia B. Packard and Harriet E. Giles. They were able to look into the eyes of young colored girls (African American women) and see intelligence. We also owe thanks to Clara Howard, HS’01, the founder of the Alumnae Association.
