Time for Our Spring SisterSoul Check-In

Beloved Siblings,

March carries the quiet whisper of renewal. As seasons begin to shift, we are reminded that growth does not happen without intention. Just as the earth stretches toward new life, we too are invited to tend to our spiritual wellness, caring for the unseen places of the soul that sustain our visible strength.

Spiritual wellness is not about perfection or performance. It's about presence. It's about creating sacred pauses in the midst of full calendars and heavy responsibilities. It's about checking in with ourselves and asking: How is my spirit? What does my soul need?

Scripture gently reminds us, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). Stillness is not weakness; it is wisdom. It is the space where we remember who we are beyond titles, beyond expectations, and beyond productivity. As Spelmanites, we are nurturers, leaders, advocates, and builders. Yet even builders must rest their hands. Even leaders must refill their wells.

This month, I encourage you to cultivate small sacred rhythms: deep breaths before meetings, a whispered prayer between tasks, a moment of gratitude before sleep. Protect your peace. Guard your joy. Nourish your spirit with the same diligence you give to your work, your community, and your family.

And because spiritual wellness flourishes in community, I invite you to join me for a virtual SisterSoul Check-in on March 21 at 3:00 PM EST. You can register here: SisterSoul Check-in. It will be a renewed opportunity for us to ground ourselves, breathe together, and reconnect in the spirit of love and support. No pressure. No performance. Just presence.

May this be a month where your spirit is steadied, your heart is encouraged, and your soul remembers it is not alone.

With love and grace,

Rev. Angie Johnson, C'95
Chaplain, NAASC
